Sunday Briefing: Alpha Capital Complaints, FundingPips Gold Spread Reports & $47,000 AudaCity Case
PROPFIRM EVIDENCE
WEEKLY
What Traders Need to Know This Week
Sunday, 30 August 2026 — Issue 3
Every week, Prop Firm Evidence reviews recent trader complaints, company responses, review-platform warnings, payout disputes and other public signals across the prop-firm industry.
We do not assume that a negative review proves wrongdoing.
Our focus is simple:
What happened? What evidence exists? What does the company say? And what should traders know before spending their money?
THE BIG STORY
Alpha Capital Group Faces Fresh Payout and Account-Restriction Complaints
[Evidence: Public trader complaints, Trustpilot review-integrity warning and Prop Firm Match data | Captured: 28 August 2026 | Status: High-Priority Investigation]
Alpha Capital Group produced one of the strongest concentrations of fresh complaint signals identified during this week’s monitoring.
Several recent complaints involve payouts, account restrictions, IP/CID findings, hedging allegations and risk-management decisions.
There is also a separate review-integrity signal.
At the time of capture, Trustpilot displayed Alpha Capital Group’s rating as unavailable because of a breach of its guidelines.
Trustpilot also stated that it had removed a number of fake reviews from the company’s profile.
The captured profile contained:
21,615 total reviews
including:
9,104 reviews posted during the previous 12 months.
A Trustpilot review-integrity warning does not mean that every positive review is fake.
It also does not prove that individual negative complaints against Alpha Capital Group are accurate.
Case example
[Reviewer: Olympus Trading | Country: Turkey | Amount alleged: $4,500 | Issue: Withdrawal followed by account restriction | Platform: Trustpilot]
The reviewer alleged that a $4,500 withdrawal request was followed by an account ban.
According to the review, Alpha Capital identified what it considered hedging activity involving another trader.
The reviewer disputes that interpretation.
Second case
[Reviewer: Alex | Country: Canada | Amount alleged: approximately $4,778 | Issue: IP / CID and account-access dispute | Status: Unresolved allegation at capture]
Alex published several detailed posts concerning a long-running funded account.
The trader disputes Alpha Capital’s interpretation of IP and CID information and alleges that approximately:
$4,778 in profits
remain unpaid.
The complaint includes disagreement over an October 2024 IP record and a later alleged Canada/Finland account-access event.
Prop Firm Evidence has not independently reviewed the complete server logs, device records or account history required to determine which interpretation is correct.
Additional payout complaint
[Reviewer: Salah Eddine Kabbouri | Country: Morocco | Payout amounts stated: $10,790 + $10,828 | Combined amount: $21,618 | Issue: Compliance / IP dispute]
The reviewer stated that two payouts had been displayed as approved:
$10,790
and:
$10,828
for a combined stated amount of:
$21,618.
The trader alleges that subsequent compliance action concerned the use of public Wi-Fi and an IP overlap.
Prop Firm Evidence has not established that the combined amount was contractually owed or whether Alpha Capital’s compliance decision was correct.
Positive counter-evidence
Public evidence also contains recent reports from traders who say they successfully received payouts from Alpha Capital Group.
This matters.
The available evidence does not support saying that Alpha Capital Group simply does not pay profitable traders.
Why this matters
The question is narrower:
When a significant payout or funded account is restricted because of IP, CID, hedging or risk findings, does the trader receive enough account-specific evidence to understand exactly what happened?
Questions for Alpha Capital Group
- Which exact rules were triggered in the cases identified?
- What account-specific evidence supported the IP, CID or hedging findings?
- Were any disputed payouts approved before compliance action occurred?
- How does Alpha distinguish shared or public IP addresses from actual account sharing?
- What appeal process is available to affected traders?
Status
HIGH-PRIORITY INVESTIGATION
No finding of wrongdoing has been made.
INCIDENT OF THE WEEK
FundingPips Traders Report Extreme XAUUSD Spread Widening
[Company: FundingPips | Incident date: 28 August 2026 | Instrument: XAUUSD | Evidence: Multiple independent trader reports | Status: Active Technical Investigation]
Several FundingPips users reported unusually wide XAUUSD spreads during the same trading period on 28 August 2026.
The timing and similarity of the reports make this more significant than a single isolated execution complaint.
Case example
[Reviewer: Vigneshwar A | Country: India | Account: 5739608 | Platform: cTrader | Position: 0.36-lot XAUUSD sell | Take Profit: 4579.07]
The reviewer said the spread when the position was entered was approximately:
20–26 pips.
As the trade approached the take-profit level, the trader said cTrader displayed approximately:
Bid: 4579.19
Ask: 4580.88
The reviewer calculated the difference at approximately:
169 pips.
He alleges that the widening prevented the take-profit from triggering.
The trader also compared the market with OANDA.
Importantly, he acknowledged that different providers can show different prices and spreads and that the comparison:
does not prove manipulation.
The reviewer says screenshots exist and has requested FundingPips’ server-side Bid/Ask tick data.
Second case
[Reviewer: Jeremiah | Country: Malaysia | Posted: 28 August 2026 | Issue: XAUUSD spread allegedly exceeded 100 pips | Platform: Trustpilot]
Jeremiah separately reported gold spreads exceeding:
100 pips.
Third case
[Reviewer: Reza Kazemi | Country: Germany | Posted: 28 August 2026 | Issue: Unusually large XAUUSD spread widening | Platform: Trustpilot]
The reviewer also reported unusually large spread widening during approximately the same period.
Company context
FundingPips had a Trustpilot rating captured at:
4.5/5
from approximately:
67,149 reviews.
The captured distribution showed approximately:
82% five-star reviews
and:
8% one-star reviews.
That strong overall rating is relevant context.
It does not establish what occurred during this specific technical incident.
What we know
Multiple traders independently reported unusually wide XAUUSD spreads at FundingPips on 28 August 2026.
What we do NOT yet know
Prop Firm Evidence has not established why the spreads widened.
Possible explanations can include volatility, liquidity conditions, differences between price feeds, execution infrastructure or other market conditions.
Prop Firm Evidence does not currently have sufficient evidence to describe the incident as spread manipulation.
Questions for FundingPips
- What was the server-side XAUUSD Bid/Ask data during the reported period?
- Did the spread widening affect multiple accounts?
- Were unusual liquidity or price-feed conditions identified?
- Did FundingPips or its infrastructure provider record a technical incident?
- Are affected trades or accounts being reviewed?
Status
ACTIVE TECHNICAL INVESTIGATION
No finding of spread manipulation has been made.
CASE OF THE WEEK
AudaCity Capital Trader Alleges $47,000 Payout Rejection
[Company: AudaCity Capital | Reviewer: Ras | Country displayed: United States | Amount alleged: approximately $47,000 | Evidence: Same case preserved across Trustpilot and Prop Firm Match]
A trader using the name Ras alleges that approximately:
$47,000 in profits
were rejected following a risk-management review.
The same underlying case also appears on Prop Firm Match.
Case details
[Account size stated: $240,000 | Program: Two Step | Denied amount shown: $47,000 | Reason shown: Risk Management | Prop Firm Match date: 24 August 2026]
The trader alleges that the payout was rejected and the account subsequently closed.
According to the complaint, AudaCity Capital later provided another funded account under different risk conditions.
The trader states that this included a:
1% daily drawdown limit.
He says that replacement account was later closed following another disputed risk-management decision.
Because the Trustpilot and Prop Firm Match reports concern the:
same trader and same underlying dispute,
Prop Firm Evidence does not count them as two independent complaints.
Amount alleged
$47,000
The $47,000 figure is an alleged denied payout or profit amount.
Prop Firm Evidence has not established that the amount constitutes a legally or contractually owed debt.
Positive counter-evidence
AudaCity Capital also has current positive public evidence.
Prop Firm Match displayed AudaCity Capital at approximately:
4.1/5 from 100 reviews.
A reviewer named Nguyen, dated 27 August, reported:
three payouts
and described a successful recent payout experience.
Another reviewer dated 22 August also reported that AudaCity Capital’s Risk Management team had approved a payout.
This is why Prop Firm Evidence does not extrapolate one complaint across an entire company.
What we know
A detailed public payout dispute exists and the same trader has documented the case on more than one public review platform.
What we do NOT know
Prop Firm Evidence has not reviewed the complete account history, trade records, risk calculations or internal company evidence.
We therefore do not state that AudaCity Capital owes the trader $47,000.
Questions for AudaCity Capital
- What specific risk-management rule was applied?
- Which trades or risk metrics triggered the decision?
- Had the $47,000 formally reached payout approval?
- What conditions applied to the replacement account?
- What appeal process was available to the trader?
Status
OPEN HIGH-VALUE CASE
No finding of wrongdoing has been made.
OTHER CASES ON OUR RADAR
BrightFunded — XAUUSD Execution Dispute
[Period: August 2026 | Issue: XAUUSD execution dispute | Tickets stated: #5041596, #5041600 and #5041779 | Company response: Active review]
A trader alleges significant XAUUSD execution problems involving stop-loss slippage and later take-profit execution.
BrightFunded publicly stated that the execution details and underlying price information were under review.
That response confirms that the case is being investigated.
It does not establish that the trader’s technical interpretation is correct.
Status: HIGH CONCERN — ACTIVE REVIEW
E8 Markets — $16,500 Payout Dispute
[Reviewer: Tyler Whitaker | Amount requested: approximately $16,500 | Issue: 1% trade-idea restriction | Period: August 2026]
The trader alleges that after passing an evaluation and requesting approximately $16,500, E8 Markets applied a 1% per-trade-idea restriction.
The reviewer alleges that only part of the requested amount was offered.
The trader’s central claim is that the relevant restriction was applied after his original purchase or pass.
Prop Firm Evidence has not yet established which contractual version applied to the account.
Status: HIGH CONCERN — RULE APPLICATION UNDER REVIEW
Finotive Funding — Reward Split Reduced Following Risk Review
[Reviewer: Alvin Lee | Country: Hong Kong | Reward amount stated at 70% split: $1,678.30 | Alleged final split: 10% | Issue: Holistic Risk Review]
The reviewer alleges that an expected 70% reward split was reduced to 10% following a broader Risk Review.
The trader says Finotive cited repeated substantial same-direction aggregate exposure.
The complaint raises a wider transparency question about how discretionary risk reviews interact with published numerical trading rules.
Status: HIGH CONCERN — RISK REVIEW TRANSPARENCY
For Traders — $6,535.78 Reverse-Hedging Dispute
[Reviewer: SROOSH MADADI | Country: Afghanistan | Amount alleged: $6,535.78 | Issue: Reverse-hedging finding]
The trader alleges that a $6,535.78 payout was denied after For Traders identified what it considered reverse-hedging activity.
The reviewer disputes the finding and says he requested specific trades, account comparisons and timestamps.
Prop Firm Evidence has not independently verified either the trader’s compliance or the company’s risk finding.
Status: HIGH CONCERN — EVIDENCE TRANSPARENCY
FXIFY — Latency-Arbitrage Evidence Dispute
[Reviewer: Sergio Amato | Country: Italy | Issue: Latency-arbitrage finding | Company response: Senior Risk Team review upheld decision]
The trader disputes FXIFY’s latency-arbitrage finding and requested more specific technical evidence.
FXIFY publicly stated that its Risk Team uses broader execution and trading data and that a senior Risk Team review upheld the original finding.
The unresolved issue is how much account-specific evidence can reasonably be disclosed while protecting internal detection methodology.
Status: MONITORING — TRANSPARENCY QUESTION

POSITIVE SIGNAL OF THE WEEK
Tradeify
[Prop Firm Match rating captured: 4.7/5 | Reviews: 185 | Current evidence: Successful payout testimony | Captured: August 2026]
Prop Firm Evidence also looks for positive evidence.
Tradeify produced one of the strongest positive current-week public signals among the companies monitored.
For example:
[Reviewer: Daryl | Country: South Africa | Posted: 22 August 2026 | Reached payout: Yes | Payout count displayed: 10+]
The reviewer described payouts as generally being completed within 24 hours, with some substantially faster.
Importantly, the reviewer also criticised aspects of Tradeify’s transition to live accounts.
This provides a more balanced signal than a review containing only praise.
Another reviewer posted on 26 August and praised the firm’s dashboard, product selection and rule transparency after passing two evaluations.
However, that trader had not yet reached payout.
Therefore:
We are NOT naming Tradeify the “Best Prop Firm.”
We are naming it:
Strongest Positive Public Signal of the Week
NEXT WEEK’S WATCHLIST

AudaCity Capital
for evidence concerning the approximately $47,000 payout dispute.
BrightFunded

RIGHT TO REPLY
Prop Firm Evidence believes companies must have a fair opportunity to respond.
For every case elevated to a formal investigation, we will seek:
[Exact rule used]
[Account-specific evidence]
[Company explanation]
[Trader response]
[Appeal status]
[Final outcome]
If evidence supplied by a company shows that a complaint is inaccurate, incomplete or resolved, our record will be updated accordingly.
The same standard applies to traders.
THE PROPFIRM EVIDENCE PRINCIPLE
A negative review is not proof.
A five-star review is not proof.
A payout certificate is not proof of how every trader will be treated.
A company’s denial is not automatically proof either.
Evidence determines the conclusion.
Our purpose is to help traders understand the risks before they purchase an account, while giving prop firms a fair opportunity to explain and evidence their decisions.
